Most inventive omakase I've had. Great mix of traditional and non-traditional pieces with the freshest fish from Tsukiji and beyond.
Chef Mark works hard to make delicious food. The noodles are perfectly cooked and the broth is just right. The kani salad and kara-age are awesome starters. Get the vanilla ice cream for dessert.
The ricotta and garlic bruschetta! The pizza! The grilled prawns! The lambrusco! Avoid grilled chick skewers (v bland), risotto balls (also bland).

The $40 Chef's Omakase is probably one of the best and tasty sushi deals I've encountered on the UWS. 12 pieces + 1 maki roll, prepared with much TLC. Each piece is amazing. Must. Try.

A small place that specializes in small plates. That mezze w/ curry chik is tasty. Cod fritters and shrimp are worth the trip alone. $4 wine for happy hour b4 8pm. Can we get them to stay open later?
Amazing omakase, such a great deal! The chef was kind enough to explain all of the fish and where they're from. Friendly atmosphere and he even helped correct our method of picking up the fish!

Amazing coffee. Rock hard cheese rolls. 2 cases with 3 shelves each...and barely anything on them. No menus, but they seem to do hot breakfast sandwiches if you already know what to order.
