The Hanger steak with duck-fat fried potatoes is fantastic, and the fried chicken is incredibly moist and tasty.
Seamus Mullen might have left, but Barcelona native and Alain Ducasse alum Marc Vidal keeps things authentic at the Boqueria flagship. It's all incredibly solid, but see esp. the Bombas de la Barcelo Leia mais.
Great food -- go for any of the spicy noodles or the cumin lamb "burger". Or get both, and still pay under $10. Not much seating though -- you'll have to take it to go during peak meal times.
Go with 3-4 friends and order 5-6 things to share! Try for the duck and Malay fried fish. And if crab's not your thing, get the "sauce and toast", which gives you the same great chili sauce w/ bread.
Get the fried goat cheese balls, lamb meatballs, pizza, spaghetti, bacon wrapped dates and olives, empanadas, chicken wings and pretty much anything else on the menu!
You want the standard margherita slice right after it's come out of the oven. Feel free to wait around for 10-20 minutes for a fresh pie to come out -- it's worth it.

the pro splitty-splitty move for 2: get 1 smoked meat deluxe with poutine and 1 smoked meat sammy. you each get a sammich and you split the poutine/slaw/pickle. and you both win.
