Definitely pay the $20 difference to upgrade to a tower. The pyramid rooms are nasty and old. I saw someone left a similar tip about room 5050, we were in 5051. Same thing. Our room is great now.

Showing its age, but not a bad place. Ask for a higher room in the East Tower.

For spacious rooms, and optimal privacy, stay in the Tower. I prefer the East Tower.

JAgosto 14, 2018They charge a $35 resort fee per person when you arrive. Prepare for that when figuring in costs. Was just looking for a hotel close to the airport for a layover. :/
Tony XerriJaneiro 30, 2013My room 11148 was humid and uncomfortable. I guess you can categorize the overall ambiance as "ghetto fabulous" with everyone trying to sell you on something. Stick to the Aria if you're in Vegas.
Christopher DietrichJunho 14, 2014Yes this is the low end of the strip, but it seems like they don't even try. Our room was not clean when we checked in, the food overpriced for the money. Access to monorail is a pain. Don't bother.

HISTORYAbril 7, 2010When it opened on October 15, 1993, the pyramid was the tallest building on the strip and took 2 years to build at a cost of $375 million.- if someone asks you to "tour" a local resort tell them to go kick rocks. it's a time share and the people are EXTREMELY RUDE!!!

- Long wait at taxi stand on the strip. There's another at the North Entrance by the Excalibur walk way. Never a line.
