Terminal 1 is fantastic and huge. However, expect long security queue. Terminal 2 is functional but not loaded with food/shopping options; departure security is at individual flight boarding gates
Electric outlets can only be found at Lufthansa Senators Lounge. No desk to work on, just comfy chairs. Internet is limited to 30 minutes of free use. Comparing FRA with MUN, I choose Munich anyday.
That wine you bought at the duty free shop? It's gotta go into your checked luggage after customs. So, be sure you save some room in those bags. Otherwise, you'll be pouring it into 3oz containers.
After arriving off a long haul flight and while waiting to transfer, visit the duty free for the free samples of aftershave and perfume! It'll freshen you up!!
I spent a week here one day. it's much better now. try mobile boarding passvand sms for gate updates cuz they're better than trying to find info on monitors
If your plane is departing from an A gate, get to the gate earlier than '30 minutes prior to boarding.' You still have a bus ride to the Tarmac and it's not going to wait around.
Be sure to know what terminal your plane departs from before you get here. The shuttle drivers do not know which airlines serve which terminal like they do in the US, for example.
Frankfurt Airport is Germany's largest aviation hub with more than 70 million passengers in 2019. More than 100 airlines fly to 275 destinations in 111 countries with approximately 1,400 flights per day.
