Definitely my favourite shopping center in Istanbul. It is half covered. Not a lot of shops, what they have is of upper quality. Two great book stores. A wonderful cinema complex and theatre

So close to the airport, you can stop by either on the way or to the airport. Delicious kebab
Slightly slow at customs, small yet clean. If the passport line advances too slowly, likely to be waiting in the heat as you leave the boat
Thw location is incredible. It is like eating on water. It has a very simple setting. The food is delicious and reasonably priced

Both the arrival and the departure lounges are huge. Really need to be early to be on time epeciallt as there will be no public transport for a while

Once upon a time Bank Athens, the building is owned by Sabancı University. Only open to public for art exhibitions
It is no longer in use as a school, there are usually very good art exhibitions throughout the year
It is just on the skirts of Palandoken Mountain. Need a car to get there. Clean, spacious rooms. There were many football clubs staying there during my visit
Such a fine place to dine, especially outside just on the Bosphorus. The view is spectacular. Also fairly pricey
A former railway station turned into a contemporary arts gallery. Free to visit. Not a huge selection yet enough without being too tiring
Great cag kebab which is actually their specialty. In the Ankara Fortress. It is kebap on a skewer enriched with spices and onion. I make a special trip each year whenever I am in Ankara
The range of cheese and olives sold is great. Such a clean shop. Slight problem finding a spot to park
A lovely, lovely arts village up in the mountain. Great for pottery. Simply adore the drive to the village and the stroll

Best kebab restaurant in Göktürk - clean, tasty and relatively inexpensive. Definitely try the “şaşlık” which is deliciously marinated.
Relatively easy access with metro and spacious parking. Fair selection of restaurants in vicinity. Good acoustics.
One of the easiest and most modern airports. Take Havas buses just in front of the terminal or cross the bridge to take the train into the city center
