Friendly, chatty staff. They have beer from more esoteric breweries (e.g., Ninkasi) than the 7-11 next door. Standard convenience store pricing, but I definitely appreciate the depth of their variety.
My carnitas super burrito was excellent. This is a great little no-frills place hidden at the end of an anonymous shopping center if you're looking for an inexpensive bite.
It's standard Round Table pricing, which is not inexpensive. But unless you're a fan of Premier Pizza - I am not - it's the best of a thin roster of options in this immediate area.
Clean, great looking rooms (if with slightly too-firm beds) with nice touches - reading lights by the headboard! Very swanky new-looking lobby/lounge. Complimentary breakfast was robust and enjoyable!
The fries were excellent, and the burger menu had a lot of variety to it; the Aussie (with a roasted beet and a fried egg!) was my choice. Not inexpensive, but with decor and lovely service galore.
What a remarkable little zoo! The river otters are beyond cute. Recommend getting there as close to opening as possible, before the crowds pick up and the animals get nappish after their feedings. :)
Parking is forever miserable here. Can't count how many appointments I've been late for because there was just NOWHERE to park. Pity, as the rest of the Kaiser experience has been generally pleasant.
The laser shows - Beatles! Pink Floyd! - are good times! Ours had a brief astronomy lesson between the main set and the encore; that rocked. Uniquely fun way to spend an hour on a Saturday night!
Thin and crispy crusts! To serve: make them so minimalistic or with so many toppings slathered on - whatever floats your boat. All at one uniform price! A great nosh, with nice friendly staff to boot.
Crazy-fast service every time I've come through this joint. Even when the line is several people deep: they crank through 'em like nobody's business. Very happy with this Chipotle location.
Super friendly staff! And open on Sundays! Had me in & out for my smog in maybe ~10 minutes. Located a bit behind the China Way; you can't miss it. Not the cheapest folks in town... but SO low-hassle.
Nice place! Only two folks on staff on a Sunday afternoon, with a sizable line... but they rocked our order & got us out the door under five minutes. (And accepted our Groupon!) I was damn impressed.
The theater update is pretty dang swanky. Big cushy seats all through the place! Which recline to your heart's content! And assigned-seat reservations to boot! It's a lovely moviegoing experience now.
Driving up to it from Reno, it just hits you like a ton of bricks. It's vast, and breathtaking, and just really, really pretty.
Friendly joint. They've got everything from reasonably fancy IPAs to high-gravity malt liquors to twenty kinds of flavored vodka. A nice, quick visit if you're in that general area.
Nice hot pizza! Moderately decent spread of toppings available. Relatively inexpensive, as things go, and certainly convenient if you're staying in the Curry cabins there.
It's one of the rare 7-11s that have things like bottles of various Lagunitas products on hand, and not at comically inflated prices! That marks me down as a fan.
Low in calories. All sorts of tasty flavors, rotating regularly. Comically large and affordable portions for their size. What's not to like? Worth putting into your regular rotation for too-hot days!
