Skybus to the city is the quickest and cheapest way to get to Melbourne's city central. You can also grab a free hotelbus from the end of the bus trip. Kind of a good way to get across town for cheap
It’s no Singapore or Hong Kong... but this does the job for Virgin domestic flights... actually much better than T1 (the shed), and T4 (the shopping mallfood court ).
When you arrive at Melbourne (Tullamarine) Airport, odds are you're heading to Melbourne CBD. Look out for the Skybus Terminal - cheapest transport option dropping you right at South'n Cross station
If catching skybus in the remember peak hour traffic is crap! Skybus was 15 mins late and the trip to the airport took an extra 10mins. You don't need the stress. Go earlier!
Refreshing service from Virgin Australia, from check in to on board service and it rubbed on everyone else on board .. rock on Virgin Australia #virginaustralia
Next time; if you only have a backpack and a motorcycle use it! Parking is "free" the boom gates are short and you can ride around them, airportstaff don't seem to care & there is only front cameras
Flying into Melbourne Airport? No matter what it takes, make sure you have carry on only as the baggage handlers in both the domestic & international terminals are the slowest in the world.
Avoid the Skybus rip off. Walk just past T4 (Tiger) & get the Smartbus. Normal public transport prices, no surcharges. Takes u all across Melb. For city, get a zone 1+2 & get train from Broadmeadows.
Don't fly Jet Star. When booking for 2 online, you have to pay for 2 bags, if you want to wait and pay for 1 at the airport, you can, $80 for 1 bag. Insert curse words about Jet Blue here.
Don't trust Virgin to get anything right. Flight was cancelled. Had to take 2 flights in stead, then second flight was late. Instead of arriving at 8:55 got in at 23:55
