Best place in New Jersey to go for a hike, have a picnic and watch the sunset. There are spectacular scenic views of the Delaware Water Gap and mountains in the distance. 🌅
Taking the red up isn't exactly a walk in the park but the views along the way are worth it. Just be sure to take the blue down and check out the views along the waster.
One of the best natural wonders of New Jersey. Arrive as early as possible and enjoy your day here. It's open 24/7 so you can night hike without worry.
This is an EXTREMELY tough (and rewarding) hike -- we descended 700 feet in just 15 minutes of the hike. Highly recommend for experienced hikers but maybereconsider if you're not so hike-savvy.
Entrapment:They'll ticket you if you park anywhere along the curb inside the lot. No signs saying "No Parking" or "Parking in Designated Spots only" etc. They'll close the entrance to the lot often
Took the red dot to the blue dot trail. It was tough! Very rocky and steep going up but not terrible coming down. Recommend going up the red and coming down blue.
The red trail (the easier hike) is to the right of the parking lot. It's easy to end up on the Blue trail (very difficult climb) if you're not careful.
