If you are catching the Shady Grove train, sitting near the front cars will get you a seat since everyone crowds the 2nd to last car to get out at the escaltors when the train gets to Shady Grove.
Almost as many people will get off this stop as metro center next. So dont worry yee tourists or DC rookies, you WILL make it off at your stop during rush hour without acting crazy/being pushy.
Headed to Union Station for commuter trains? Get on the first car, you get dropped off at the foot if the escalator. Whether or not the escalator is working, that's another story...
