Check out the East half of the park for a great view of the Painted Ladies/downtown & the West half for a beautiful sunset! Then go back to the other side for a beautiful view of downtown at night!
You really can't beat the views of the city. Famous for the iconic opening shots in Full House, the park is perfect for hanging with friends and soaking up some sun. It's a dog lover's paradise.
We get it, you want the Full House picture. Keep in mind the locals have probably had to take that pic 43 times before.. Be quick about it :) Before you cop a squat on the grass, check for dog poo.

This is a great part for two reasons. First off, it is very dog friendly with an off leash area (not fenced in though). Secondly, it has some of the best SF skyline views that you can find.

The legendary shoe garden that was located around the restrooms has been permanently removed by the city of San Francisco because the shoes were non-biodegradable and hazardous to the environment :(
