Head up there is around sunset; this is when the entire city is bathed in warm colors and makes for memorable photos when contrasting with the city lights.

Skip the ticket queue and buy a ticket on your smartphone. If you don't have data, head downstairs to Pret a Manger and use their free wifi to buy a digital barcode ticket.

Use your mobile phone and get tickets online. We saw the queues and decided to try getting tickets online. Took 3 minutes and we skipped all the queues.

Way better than Empire State! More modern building, with wifi, the view is much better! It's not so crowded and it has glass instead of metal, so it won't mess up your pictures.
