Place to be for a good German meal at a very decent price. Schnitzel, brat- and currywurst, and, obviously, all sorts of potato dishes. Service was fast even though the place was crowded.

If you don’t feel like climbing your way up to the fortress, you can go there by car as well. Take the Burgbergtunnel just outside the centre of Bernkastel and follow the signs.

Don't know why you need to pay to go on the sesselbahn. Next to it there is a lovely path going up. My tip is to walk instead of riding up.
Highest point in Cochem (alt. 255m). Don’t pay and take the chair lift, there’s a hiking trail starting right at the chair lift’s ground station. The climb is very steep, but takes less than 30 min.

One of the most impressive fortresses of the Mosel region. Guided tours start every 15 min. 2.5km / 30 min. walk from the Ringsteiner Mühle hotel and restaurant in Moselkern.
The most historical and legendary racetrack in the world. On trackdays be patient, because it can easily be that it'll be closed for 30 minutes because of an accident.
Germany’s longest pedestrian suspension bridge connects the village of Morsdorf to Sosberg. Length: 360m, height: 100m, max. supported weight: 50 tons.
Nice little town. The beautiful market square is dominated by the Leuk river and its waterfall and half-timbered houses. The fortress is worth a visit too.
After seeing the waterfall, it is fun to go to the ruins of Saarburg castle. The views from the tower are quite nice.
