Pieter Levels: This place is really far out, as in physically as it’s above PJ, a 30min drive from Bukit Bintang. But...it’s pretty great. Giant warehouse vibe with giant tables and outlets, OK for working. 8/10

Pieter Levels: VCR is the epitome of hipster cafes in Kuala Lumpur. Coffee is excellent, interior great and it feels like this where the fashion and alt ppl of KL go. Bit crowded tho and unsuitable for laptop. 8/10

Pieter Levels: Great coffee at this cafe below a hostel. Really nice owner who lets her baby make your coffee 😍 8/10

Pieter Levels: Possibly my favorite cafe to relax and also work in Chiang Mai. Really good coffee, hardcore aircon and power outlets everywhere. The architecture is also great. Coworking soon upstairs opening. 9/10

Pieter Levels: Foursquare is right. This. Is. The. Best. Khao Soi. Ever. Unacceptably good. Spicy. Order with the extra chicken leg. Yummy 😍 10/10

Pieter Levels: The best coffee in Chiang Mai is at Ristr8to Lab. And it’s even better than the previous best at, well, the original Ristr8to. Absolutely do not go here to work, it’s for coffee only, then GTFO. 8/10

Pieter Levels: The smaller Wake Up cafe, also open 24h. Bit more cramped than the big Wake Up. Be sure to explore the upper floors as they have more space (and no Subway smell). 7/10

Pieter Levels: Bangkok’s BTS public transport system is amazing, if only for the most hardcore aircon of Asia. Don’t fiddle with coins but buy a Rabbit card at the station desk, you can charge it with $. Fast. 8/10

Pieter Levels: One of the best roof top bars with one of the best views of Bangkok. It’s in Soi 11, hence Above Eleven. 8/10

Pieter Levels: Nice hotel at the end of Sukhumvit literally 5m from BTS Phra Kanong. They have a rooftop pool, in-door pool, small gym. Staff is a bit unfriendly. I was able to get $50/night rate, good price. 7/10

Pieter Levels: One of the few real techno clubs in Bangkok (not EDM techno, but real techno). It’s small but good. Nice cocktails and mix of progressive Thai and euros-trying-to-find-techno-in-Bangkok audience. 8/10

Pieter Levels: Some of the best Thai food in Lamai, Samui. Lovely elderly owners and chef who’ve been in business for decades. Be sure to order Thai, not Western! 8/10

Pieter Levels: Nice and laidback beach away from the craziness that is Chaweng. This beach is more for couples and some families. 7/10

Pieter Levels: Probably best foot massages in Cha-am’s massage street are at Rose. 8/10
