One of my favorite airports! I've never had to wait in security for more than 10 minutes. Parking is so close and cheap! Such an easy airport to navigate too!
This is my fav airport. Small. Short lines. Friendly & helpful people. Delta agent Antwane fixed a HUGE problem created by an agent in Raleigh. It's worth the extra $$ to fly out of this airport.
Traveling in and out of PTI is a cinch. As others have said, don't come hungry though.
Pleasant airport check in and security experience over all. Limited food options. There’s your news stand and shoe shine. Few direct flights, but that’s to be expected, due to the airport’s size.

The TSA agents are actually polite and helpful. Gates 25, and 27-34 have nice seats with ample charging stations. Great for working with a laptop

Check who you're flying with before parking to make sure you park on the correct 'side' of the lot. Strangely, there are no signs until you get under the garage area. Delta is on far side
Quick and easy to get through security. Short lines overall.
Take advantage of the valet parking. Costs a bit more but worth it if you are traveling alone and have luggage to handle. They pull your car up to the curb most times!
Andrew SprungJulho 10, 2016Airport is very easy to navigate, will certainly fly here again if visiting Winston Salem- I you have time, sit a spell in the rocking chairs outside security. It's a less-busy place to charge your phone/laptop, too.

If you arrive when the rental car counters are closed, only National Emerald reservations can leave the lot. All others need to wait 'til they open back up (usually 6am).
Smaller airport with lots of choices for hub cities. TSA is usually a breeze & friendly.
Small, quick airport serving Winston-Salem, Greensboro, ang surrounding areas. Southwest does not fly here.

Smallest/easiest airport! I can arrive 30mins before flight leaves and get thru security with ease (and on time) - I don't recommend that but it's totally possible at PTI airport :)

Elizabeth McGuireOutubro 31, 2013If you are returning a rental car make sure you fuel up miles and miles before the airport.. there are no gas stations near the airport.
Good luck getting an Uber after 10pm from this airport. And the on-site taxis are crazy expensive (I was charged 3 times what it would normally cost to get home). Definitely recommend planning ahead!
If you are flying US Air, make time to stop and get a shoe shine from Horace. It only costs $5 and you will make your grandfather proud.
You will not find cheaper, more convenient parking at any other airport, but bring quarters. 25¢ for 15 minutes.
