Pourovers and espresso drinks here are top notch. Lines move relatively quickly. Best thing about this location might be the spacious working area above the coffee bar. Great, comfortable atmosphere.

Surprisingly serene spot in the middle of downtown. I love the sculptures, the slides, and the carousel.
Gourmet sweet and savory pastries: great for breakfast, coffee dates, and light reading. Might ask to have your pastry warmed a little longer than standard as mine was cold in the middle.
Best hoppy beer in San Francisco. They'll fill just about any growler you have as long as you tape over any logos etc. Wish they stayed open a bit later though; closing time is 11 on Fri and Sat.
