Light rail is an easy and cheap ($2.50) way to get to downtown. Just walk across the last skybridge (#6) and then to the left. Sadly, the free wifi is not very reliable.
The line at the central security usually is the shortest in the AM.
There are two places to go through security. If one line is long, go to the other end of the lobby area and there will be another security checkpoint.
There are actually 4 security checkpoints... checkpoint #2 is usually the fastest.... and all checkpoints go to ALL gates
