This is the location of the Sarah Farmer Inn, the primary structure at Green Acre. It was formerly known as the Green Acre Inn.
Rogers Cottage was moved here in 1870 from a location nearer the river. 'Abdu'l-Bahá visited here in 1912.
"The Pines" were purchased for Sarah Farmer by Sara Chapman Bull. Lectures at the summer forum were delivered under the shade of the Pines on clear days. The Pines were cut down during the 1930s.
Monsalvat, the "Mount of Peace," was named by Sarah Farmer after the mountain in Wagner's Parsifal that is the location of the Holy Grail. A Bahá'í House of Worship will one day be built on this site.
The Ole Bull Cottage is named for the famous Norwegian violinist. It was built in 1896 by Mary Burnham, who ran the Green Acre music school. It was later purchased by Sara Chapman Bull, Ole's widow.
Staples Cottage was built by Charles Rogers. In 1912, 'Abdu'l-Bahá held a famous Unity Feast here for the people of Eliot. It was acquired by Green Acre during the 1970s.
Lucas Cottage was named for Mary Lucas, a music teacher who lived there during Green Acre's early days.
Fellowship House was built in 1916 from a bequest of Helen Ellis Cole, a Bahá'í from New York and one of Sarah Farmer's closest friends.
