Steaks are exorbitant but that's the whole idea. Servers are very knowledgeable and will do seemingly anything to make sure you enjoy your meal. I tried seven glasses of wine but paid for one.
Service can be too Castro ie inattentive but the food is very good particularly the artichoke appetizer and the pear sorbet.
Good breakfast and good dinners. Very quiet. Definitely off the beaten path despite Union Square location.
Soups are always good. Great salads too. Talk to the server. They won't steer you wrong. Great late night hot spot.
Listen to the waiters and rely on their advice. You will be delighted. I know food and wine well and these guys know what they're serving.
Prix fixe is always a nice selection. Great fresh salads. Try whatever is the special. Terrific classic desserts. Don't miss the Floating Island when it's available.
Breakfast is great although replacing the omelettes with scrambles is a big loss in my opinion. The Swedish pancakes are scrumptious.
