If you are flying Delta, Nick S will be able to help you become an international points traveler. And be sure to check your connections before you land so you don’t miss them.
Get here early on Fridays! At least two hours before your flight. You don’t want to have a heart attack going they the longest TSA line in the country 🤣 You’re welcome
If you fly Delta and miss your flight, there’s a live Delta Help Desk on your concourse + phones you can pick up that automatically ring direct to a rep who can reschedule you.
Park at the "Parking Spot 2" so they can was and wax your car. Then get a free shuttle to you terminal. If you park here you get a free coupon for a wash so you can use it in your return …
If you have the time, walk instead of taking the tram and check out the exhibits. The Walk Through Atlanta History and the stone sculptures from Zimbabwe were pretty cool.
When TSA says get here 3-5 hours in advance, you better bet your hiney you need at least 3. It IS the busiest airport in the world. Keep that in mind. But overall, it's fairlyorganized!
Here for a connecting flight? Get ready for a walk (or a run). These concourses are LONG, so be sure to stretch your calves before your mad dash to the gate.
One of the busiest airports. Really nice terminals just cross your fingers that there are no terminal changes as it can take a while to go between them
Not the best for standby, but if confirmed it's perfect. Tons of lounges to take advantage of as well. Look into purchasing a lounge pass if you don't have access through one of your cards.
Buckhead Books/Intermezzo Cafe in the center of the B gates is a refreshingly non-airporty Vienna style café. Find good food on real plates, tinkling jazz, full cocktail/coffee bars, veggie options.
Check out One Flew South in Terminal E for the best food and ExpressSpa in Terminal A for great pedicures. Don't be fooled by the Chick-Fil-A in Terminal C... it's a tiny kiosk with only sandwiches :(
Head over to gate C45 for a fresh squeezed juice or a wheat grass shot. I flew through Atlanta just to stop by this place! It's called Fresh healthy café
TSA TIP #3 Remove your laptop(s) and shoes/belts while waiting in line for the x-ray machines and carry them in your hands to be ready for the bins, remember laptops are placed in a bin by itself.
Don’t pay a crazy Uber fee from airport. Take the rental car center tram to Gateway Center. Call your rideshare from the Marriott at a fraction of the cost. https://lyft.com/igi/TYLER279363
Flying with dogs? Park in West Economy lot -- you'll pass a dog park on the way in to South Terminal and there's also a shuttle right there to the new international terminal.
Huge Airport! Liked the train ride ride that takes you from point A to point B..trains arrives every 3 mins. Convenient when you are running late.. like we were!
When arriving, get in the front car of the "PlaneTrain". Once you arrive at the Baggage Claim stop, you'll be able to rush to the top of the escalator toward the exit, instead of waiting in line.
I arrived from Europe. Friendly greeting from airport personnel. Helpful people at customs kiosks. Other large American cities should follow the example.
Great place to watch football! Texas A&M and Johnny Manziel pulled out a huge win at the Chick-Fil-A Bowl on NYE 2013 at the Georgia Dome! What a game!
Self check-in is a lifesaver. If you're flying international, fill out customs paperwork BEFORE you get to the check-in desk. Saves everyone time, and keeps you from being the victim of others rage.
Delta is the best to fly here at ATL. Just don't leave anything on the plane when arriving here (electronics, books, magazines...) they will magically disappear (especially Delta at ATL).
Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport proudly bears the distinction of being the world’s busiest and most efficient airport and has served as a valuable hub connecting various cities and countries around the globe.
