- A reservation is a must-have on a nice evening. Wait times are sometimes over an hour if it's crowded on a weekend! Get out of the "chicken tikka masala" rut. Try the malai kofta, or chicken korma!
- Food is delicious, but with nice weather the wait here gets ridiculous. It's quicker to order your food to-go and eat it at a Rainey bar. Bring cash in case their card machines go down (does happen).
- Austin ChronicleJunho 17, 2013Our favorite dishes here are the dahl makhani (lentils in a creamy sauce) and Malabar (lamb, coconut, onion). The level of spiciness here depends on who's in the kitchen, so it's a good idea to ask.
- Cooking ChannelFevereiro 28, 2012Eclectic and artsy stationary trailer that serves naan freshly baked in their tandoori oven, as well as other authentic Goan dishes from Goa, India. We suggest the Rechard Masala Shrimp.
- Tiffany LeungJunho 16, 2013The environment is great. Sometimes they even have live Indian style music and fire throwing shows! The prices are quite high for a trailer food spot , curries range from $9-14 . BYOB NO CORKING FEE!
- Mitra SalaselSetembro 14, 2017Superb chai, really good place to drink it for hours and snack on bel puri. Their Goan shrimp curry is also excellent but soooo spicy (prepare thyself)
- J'Amy StewartJunho 11, 2016Delicious food, great atmosphere, beer on tap, lovely patio and live music. What more can you want? Pickled mango with chili is delicious.
- Social News NetworkJunho 18, 2012Great food - get the samosas for the appetizer; tikka masala, rogan josh, or saag for your entree; and add a side of naan. Open for dinner until midnight/2am. Also, BYOB!
- kathi pixleyMaio 14, 2012Try the fruit and nut naan, lamb samosa, and the Saag paneer. Yummy. Another goodie is Kashmiri with chicken or chickpeas. Call it in if you want to go. Great food, period.
- Sherry YuSetembro 9, 2013Tikki Masala (I think that was the name) curry was soooo good! :D Got a free naan for checking in on Yelp. Nice place. Server gave good suggestion for curry.
- Carl FigueiredoOutubro 7, 2016High quality Indian fare in the Rainey Street district. Everything was excellent. Had the tikka and saag paneer.
- Shikha KaiwarMarço 26, 2014Decent Indian food, although not very authentic. If you want it spicy, be sure to ask and ask for extra hot sauce. Kulfi and paneer paratha are great.
- Vishal RanaAgosto 1, 2017Chai is excellent with cardamom, paneer makhani is buttery and flavorful, veggie pakoras are light and delicious
- Michael 🍷 ElmgreenJulho 26, 2017Try out mango pickle condiment - really great - and they make great fresh naan. Goat samosas were also good.
- Jennifer BooneAgosto 24, 2014FYI: Gratuity is added to parties of 5 or more. You can still bring your own wine but they charge a $15 corking fee or buy a bottle of theirs and they waive the fee.
- 512 crewMaio 24, 2013BYOB, but you can run across the street to Clive and bring wine over or buy beer at the little store on the side of Craft Pride.
- Lisa HFevereiro 6, 2015Great Indian food find on Rainey St. The menu had nice spicy options that my boyfriend and I really enjoyed!
- Cassie TerrillionJunho 12, 2012love that it's byob, the pakoras are YUM, disappointed about not having vegan rice but atmosphere almost makes up for it. Love the outdoor seating.
- Jaime PunishillMarço 13, 2013Don't be out off by the sign in the trash filled dumpster. This place is excellent. The na'an is fantastic. #sxsw #gem
- Lauren BernalDezembro 18, 2017Malamar chicken. Spicy if you like spicy. SO GOOD. Also paneer naan and veggie samosas.
- Sonia JoshaniMarço 19, 2012Highlights: briyani rice, tandoori chicken, garlic na'an bread, tikka masala curry, rose lassi. Everything is good, average spending is $20 per person. Yummmmm
- Elliot JacksonMaio 1, 2010I had the Coconut Curry with Tilapia and it was quite delicious, although my friend's Saag Paneer was pretty amazing too. The girls at the table were digging the Rose Non-Lassi, but did add some vodka
- VansiMaio 23, 2015It's got an eclectic vibe with great decor and atmosphere. But the food is not authentic at all and is very catered to American tastes.
- Sean CaseyAbril 4, 2010This place is HOPPING on a Staurday night. It's first come, first served, but over all lmtd seating. Call or come early. Food is good. I had lamb vindaloo. Chai to drink. Kulfi at the end. All Very Gd
- Clarke RahrigJulho 27, 2013If you're headed to Rainey for the night definitely start here for a great meal and your own brew.
- Thomas DuebnerNovembro 19, 2016Fantastic Tikka Masala. They have an almond milk option, which is fantastic!
- Santhosh AdariAgosto 1, 2017Chiken tikka was out of the world. Loved keema naan. However the chicken korma was not even close. It had huge chunks of meat just thrown into sauce. The chicken in the korma was tasteless
- Joe GruchaczMarço 31, 2013Byob, dog friendly and some of the best Indian food I've ever eaten. Lamb Korma is the best I've had anywhere.
- Donna Tickner LuglioFevereiro 18, 2017Great goat tikka masala! Thank you Mully for your suggestions. Pickled mango...yum
- Clay ChastainMarço 13, 2011Wow, I'm certainly impressed. I couldn't tell you in a million years what I ate, but when I'm back in town, I'm coming here. The wait was VERY long, but grab friends and a few beers to make it faster.
- Lots of good vegan options, unfortunately the naan isn't vegan though. You will need to request no butter on the rice
- Maria BolañosJunho 19, 2016Worst service ever. Tiny portions of the entrées. The picture I posted is the portion of picked mangoes. The host is the only nice person there. Never coming back
- Sarah CNovembro 12, 2012Many people of India origin dining here. Small portions compared to Texas sized portions. Excellent food.
- Donna Tickner LuglioFevereiro 18, 2017Thank you Mully! Great goat tikka masala. Pickled mango....yum
- Austin American-StatesmanAbril 5, 2011You could make a fine (albeit light) meal out of the less-expensive starters, including samosas, breads, pakoras and soup. Leia mais
- Katy ThompsonMarço 5, 2015For being Goan and asking for "extra spicy" my vindaloo tasted less spicy than my mom's spaghetti sauce and servings were tiny. Skip it and do Bombay Bistro instead.
- Danielle McCarthySetembro 3, 2011Spicy saag is where it's at! Coupled with onion naan with garlic. That was a great tip!
- It's hard to get a table after 7pm. You can make reservations online.
