The new treehouse is progressing nicely. It will last 1000 years judging by the construction. You still can't beat the flying fox. The bbqs have just been serviced today 25/10/2010 ready for summer.
Just hang out here with kids. Benefit from the hard work of community gardening.
I've been all over, and this has GOT to be one of the most magnificent garden parks in the world! A must-see... Assuming you like beauty in nature!
Weekends there is free parking for 1 hour then $2 for rest of the day. Weekdays are entirely by the hour. Facilities are great - bbqs, loads of park benches and seating, good toilets and trees 4 shade
Tours up the lighthouse are available on the hour from 11 to 2. Great views.
Let the kids run wild wed to fri and w/ends, and 7 days thru skool holidays. On hot days bring their swimmers to jump under the fountains and play in the stream. A must! Then nosh up at the Obs Cafe.
Good place to drive to to have lunch. Pack a sandwich and admire the view. Even in winter.

The kiddies rides - historic zebra and horse relics - say 40c a ride (bargain) but the horse will kick on for a mere 20c!! Giddy up cowboy!!
Go for a guided kayak trip to Double Island, or just have lunch at one of the great restaurants along the beach.
Sensational views, well worth a look, especially when water levels peaking. Make sure you also head across to the lower side (VIC) and head down one of the side dirt tracks great views!
