Derek JonesSetembro 4, 2014The layout of the airport is not that great for guests. Prepare to run if you have a short layover.
Terminal B: have breakfast at Five Guys if you arrive before 6:00 am. One of few places open and they have yummy food.
Try either Vino Volo location for a pleasant glass of wine and break from the bustle.
5 guys airport pricing will make you gulp. $3.50 plus for little hamburger.

US Air has all of terminal Z. TSA PreCheck and a US Air flight from Z make Dulles a tolerable experience.

deekayAgosto 7, 2016Most confusing airport ever. No signage. Lots of aimless roaming from one end to the other.
UAL is starting to board it's flight super early, if their airplanes are there. Just ran thru the terminal.
Check your gate ahead of time to see the food options. Wait times range from the worst I've seen to almost nothing, and not always predictably. Arrival times a joke, add 1 hour
Opt Out! The backsetter X-rays in use here have been banned in Europe and elsewhere for many health risks including risk of cancer.

If you are going to C20 or higher, it may be faster to take the people mover to terminal D and walk over to Terminal C .
Walk from Main Terminal to A and B. Train to C. Walk between C and D.
Beware gates 6A. There are six of them A-D but only two entrances labeled 1 and 2. And no where that lists the destination!
