Non-negotiable: you have gravy with your brisket sandwich. Also the pastrami is insanely juicy and delicious. I’ll never go back to Katz’s.

The prices have jumped up ($12 for a regular), and there's no longer a small option. The pastrami is still killer, though.

David's Brisket House in Bed-Stuy is one of those hole-in-the-wall-but-really-good-at-one-thing type of NYC restaurants. Delish.
