Hot SandAbril 23, 2014Parking is free if you drive.The last tour ends at 3 pm but check website for change of times. The one not to miss is the "last post ceremony" time is 1655hrs. You get to learn a bit the Anzac spirit.
Bear HugsOutubro 10, 2016Wonderful place to visit. Feel humble & grateful to those involved in war & peacekeeping. Displays are world class and the kids really enjoyed finding out about what great -granddad did in the war.
JAbril 11, 2018One of the best museums on war history in the world. A lot of historical artefacts and other primary sources on all the wars and peacekeeping missions Australia has been in.
Poppy's, the cafe at the Australian War Memorial is a great place to start or finish your experience. Coffee and good was Fabius and quick to the table and service was great too

Allow lots of time! 2 hours... not enough. Stay for the 5pm ceremony, it's very moving and you will hear a story about one of our amazing service men or women, volunteers from defence read them out.- JorisJaneiro 16, 2016Very impressive. Stay till 5pm to catch the closing ceremony. A piper or bugler will play and occasionally Australia's Federation Guard are involved.
