Despite the circumstances, my experiences here have ALWAYS been one of excellence! From Valet, Security, to the outstanding Emergency Doctors and Nurses! I pray they continue their great service.
Great experience here. Had surgery performed and did have to wait a bit due to surgery before mine going over, but the nursing staff was wonderful! Very attentive and extremely kind and caring.
Parent Tip: if you don't need a ambulance-might not be EMERGENCY. Noone wants to see our children in pain, etc but educating ourselves, communicating w/pediatrician, pharmacist & reading labels helps.
Concern: ER Triage & HospitalNurses Stations. I totally understand their level of stress, etc but sometimes come off very cold, complete opposite of the ER Room & remainder of hosp.
I would NEVER take my children nor myself elsewhere! We have ALWAYS been received & treated very well with the exception of one visit.(the level of communication for one nurse & dr).
Don't leave valuables in view if you are parking in the garage. There is a very high likelihood that your vehicle will be broken into. Also, you can pay for parking with credit at the exit on left.
cafeteria food on the weekend sucks, but there is a food court in next to the chapel. It has a mcdonalds and a pizza/Stromboli pasta place. There are not any signs for it but it's there:)
Triage time has NEVER been longer than 20 minutes if that for us. Granted I have also ONLY taken my children in an EMERGENCY.Coughing, runny nose, pink eye, nor your own negligence-not an emergency.
I don't know about the other areas, but if you're visiting someone in the Bone Marrow Transplant area and get your parking ticket validated, your parking is free.
Main lot fills quickly, park in garage 1-or get a room at motel 6 access the road and just walk across the street. Food court washrooms are nasty-avoid at all costs!
If you come here, don't do their valet parking if you plan on being here for more than a day. They will charge you per day at a rate of 7 dollars a day. Just had to pay 77 bucks for 11 days as a fyi.
Come with patience of a saint... I waited damn near an hour to be called for chest pain and I'm an established cardiac patient. Looks like an episode of MASH with beds in the hallway
