This was originally named “City Park.” It was renamed Commodore Barry Park due to its location next to the Brooklyn Navy Yard that Commodore Barry helped found.
At the entrance/exit to/from pier 6, you’ll find plenty of seats & shaded area.
There is a passageway that allows you to transfer to the R & W trains at the Cortlandt St station & the E train at the WTC station.
