So good!! Free sticky rice w spicy bang bang and eggplant sauce. Beef jerky. Crunchy coconut rice. Papaya salad. Almost preferred the smalls to the large. Whole snapper is great but a bit messy.
Ask the chef for #vegan options and he will create special menu for you. Mushroom jerky is awesome!
I loved the chilly prawns, the dish was full of flavor and beautiful, the lobster and noodles faded in comparison. Would definitely come back.
Get the rice cakes any style (pork is best). XLB come kind of big but the skin is the perfect thickness where it's more difficult to accidentally tear it and miss out on all the soupy goodness.
Best dish after requisite soup dumplings are salt+pepper pork chops: deep fried, topped with slices of jalapeños and garlic. Come early (the wait is out the door after 6pm, and rightfully so!)

Best xiao long bao in NJ! Dishes are portioned so you can try a couple, prices are very affordable. Service is very friendly but kitchen is really slow. Gets really busy on the weekends.
The soup dumplings are amazing, super fresh, and I've thoroughly enjoyed every other item I've tried! Scallion pancakes, Shanghai spicy pork noodle soup. The servers are friendly too!
Very good Shanghainese food - soup dumplings, cauliflower casserole, stir fried udon, rice cakes, lion's head meatballs, and so on. Sichuan food also quite good.

Great place to bring visitors for an unique Chinese food experience. Not your typical Chinese restaurant. Modern, Chic, high end. House special is the Crab in wine with clear noodles.
Wild clams stir-fried w/ chili jam & basil. Pan-fried minced pork cakes with salted fish. Braised spare ribs with preserved plums in caramelized black vinegar. Chairman's soy sauce chicken is so-so.
Excellent Cantonese good with excellent service. Crab in rice wine was good, but the ox tail in a deep tomato sauce was completely amazing.
Good for a quick meal. Roast goose leg runs out fast, so go early if you want it. Both the BBQ pork and roast goose are delicious. Menu in English and Chinese.
Recently undergone a big renovation & upgrade. Still nice & airy inside. Food is good, though the menu is slightly shorter. Asian classics like Hainan chicken or pork chop rice are the best here.
Unpretentious, good Hong Kong style good. Gets busy late at night since it's open 24 hours so many people come here after clubs/bars. But very decent food at good prices. Get the baked pork chop rice.

Fried pork & chive dumpling filling were ok but skins tasted store-bought. XO Rice rolls w/ beef has little XO sauce & taste.
A no-brainer: get the xlb (crabmeat soup dumplings) + one of their iced teas or fresh watermelon juices!
Dumplings weren't that good: too doughy & meat filling was fatty & inedible. Veggie ones were a little better.
Menu, service & prices are geared more towards Caucasians (note: don't get XLB / soup dumplings @ a Canto place - decent 1’s are usually from authentic Shanghainese cuisine - which UES really needs!)

Steamed veggie dumplings had a nice filling. Skins were nice & thin. Dumplings tasted good but didn’t seem homemade & possibly frozen & out of a bag- the way a lot of average Chinese joints do it.

The best Dim Sum in Capital region. I would recommend getting a soup or noodles and a number of dim sums. The selection is very good, and most of the food tastes authentic - like in Guangdong.
Love tasty & spicy Indo-Chinese: Shrimp Piri Piri, Ckn Tikka Masala, Paneer Szechwan, Ckn Malai Kabob & Salmon Tikka. Pricey & no lunch specials on wkend. Can't wait to try @ this E50th location?!

Don’t order oily Fried Veggie dumplings. Chow Fun Soup Noodle: broth wasn’t salty, oily or funky-tasting, noodles+spinach mushy & fish balls are from frozen bag. Sad no good & reliable Canto on UES!
My fave @ New World Mall food court after Tea Twitter (sadly) left. Get the Taiwanese Beef Noodle or the Roast Pork Noodle w/ the Tea Egg- you’ll be able to top off both w/ unlimited pickles.
Happy this N. Chinese hand-pulled chain is part of the UES. Try their Spicy & Tingly Beef Noodle, the Oxtail Noodle & my fave are their Spicy & Sour Spinach Dumplings.
