Great date spot with fantastic pizzas. You can try to share, but you might as well order one for each person, they are THAT good. Great wine selection as well. Be prepared to wait.
Fresh ingredients and thin blistered crust since the dawn of time (the late '90s). Try for the sidewalk seating and a classic margherita pizza or the fennel sausage: it's the stuff of Mission legend. Leia mais
"The Italian ices at Pizzeria Delfina are so good, and they come in three flavors: chocolate, lemon and cherry. My favorite one is chocolate. Plus, they're made in-house." Chef Joe Magnanelli Leia mais
You can make the argument that no restaurant in the last decade has changed the dining landscape quite like Delfina and its pizzeria offshoot next door. And that's a good thing. [Eater 38 Member] Leia mais
The margherita pizza is deceptively simple, right? Simple enough that you kinda want to order the fancybroccoli raab, panna or prosciutto pie? Imma let you finish, but ... you get the idea. Order it.
A Sicilian specialty, granita is a staple of Delfina's dessert menu, and it makes a wonderful end to any meal at this next-door sister restaurant to the Mission's Pizzeria Delfina Leia mais
It may sound simple but the 4 cheese, with added house pepperoni, is just too damn good. Perfectly crispy crust with a nice bit of char here and there on the edges.
Excellent thin crust pizza here. Decent beer selection, with a couple of local options. Aranciniappetizer was also delicious, but request a side of marinara to go with it. Much better that way.
Get the Prosciutto pie, the pizzas are surprisingly light so you wont leave feeling stuffed. Remember to write your name and party size on the blackboard when you arrive so you can be seated.
Best pizza in San Francisco. Thin crust, fresh ingredients, superb mozzarella. The margherita is a sure bet, but the toppings and special pizzas are also delicious. You will want to come back!
Get the spicycauliflower. "The spicy and salty mix of flavors is fantastic alongside the caramelization of the cauliflower." - Chef Rachel Sillcocks Leia mais
EXCELLENT thin crust pizza and appetizers. No reservations so put your name in and wander the mission. If they have the roasted cauliflowerappetizer, get it and prepare to drool.
Best authenticity Italian pizza I've ever had outside of Italy. Meaning, you'll be disappointed if looking for a thick doughy crusted, piled high with ingredients, drowning in cheese kind of pizza. 😁
One of the best pizza places on either coast. Pair your slices with the wide selection of Italian wines under the outdoor heat lamps on a cool San Francisco evening in the Mission.
Even though the place isn't too big, they have delicious pizzas. I got a margherita and added prosciutto - a great choice! The ingredients were very fresh, loved the mozzarella cheese!
When it's nice out - I'd just get a couple pizzas to-go, a bottle of red from bi-rite and picnic at Dolores Park. Delfina's pizzas are so delicious and can be enjoyed anywhere.
The space is tight and the place is busy, but for good reason that renders it worth the squeeze, wait, and cost. A strong selection of good music, pizza, and specials - this place is great for dates.
Any and all of their pizzas are fabulous (the crust is Neapolitan-inspired, they say), but I love the prosciutto the best. One of the best pizza places in SF, hands down.
Zagat 25. Cost $30. “Insanely good”, “beautifully charred” Neapolitan-style pies with “innovative toppings” have fans of this Mission–Pac Heights duo vowing they “won’t eat pizza anyplace else”;
I love this place. Dough is crisp and thin, strong awesome flavors. Huge fan of the Napoletaba which has strong, interesting salty flavors and no cheese. Delicious.
Fantastic Italian menu and delicious fresh pizzas. Although Delfina is usually crowded and hard to get in, the pizzeria next door that is smaller and open for lunch tends to have more openings.
Get the classic Neapolitan-style Margherita made with minimal but super tasty ingredients, like Berkeley-based Belfiore mozzarella— it's packed with flavor! Sometimes simplicity really is perfection. Leia mais
One of the only top pizzerias in the city that does to-go orders. Take advantage, never wait in line for a table. The fried stuff here tends to be gross, stick with the salads, antipasti, and pizzas.
Friendly service, also very attentive and helpful. The Lardopizza was delicious! Only complaint was that the servings were a bit small for how expensive it is.
Pizza is good but not all that in my opinion. Certainly the prosciutto pizza was not worth 17USD at all. Didn't try the margherita though. Will continue looking for the best pizza napolitana in town.
Get here early for dinner (before 7) or come at lunch if you want to snag a table for these delectable thin crust pizzas. The Napoletana is fantastic. Or call in an order to go & eat at Dolores Park.
Craig Stoll cooks Italian food here through the lens of the Bay Area: hyperseasonal, locally sourced, and as primally satisfying as the home cooking of a Tuscan nonna. The panna cotta is legendary.
