This place is charming and cozy. Perfect for a drink and a quick bite. The croque madame was good but make sure to get the tarte tatin.
Get the fried chicken box. The biscuits are tasty but avoid that mac and cheese (tastes like the stuff from the box). Any pie you choose will be good.
Get the Steak Frites. Great place to people watch. This place gets busy so parties of 3+ probably need a reservation. The staff is accommodating and attentive. Has a lively atmosphere.
The coffee is good but the cafe itself doesn't really have that much seating.They will let you taste anything, just ask.
This place is seasonal and festive but it is essentially Eastern Market place in downtown. At least the vendors change weekly and I enjoy the live music.

This place is pretty cool and makes a great lunch spot. Bring some Shake Shack or Shophouse and grab a seat anywhere. Great place to bring visitors.

I would claim that this as good as lobster rolls in the N.E. but still tasty. There are good deals, like the Taste of Maine, to feed many people. But wish they had an option for a CT style roll.
The Southern Belle and the Carrot Cake are my fav. There are gluten free, sugar free and vegan options. This place itself is tiny, go eat your cupcakes somewhere else.
Yummy burgers but don't expect big portions. The fries are not my fav (unless u like frozen crinkled fries) but simple is best here. Go with a (double) cheeseburger. The shakes are not special.
