Body & Soul vegan bakery has great savory items like the black bean and veg turnover $6 nicely spiced and sweets like the vanilla & lavender scones $3.25. 1/2 price at the end of the day.

I love the fresh fruits, vegetables, cookies and cheese and even more. This during the summer months and fall. after that they set up for booth where you can buy any kind of Christmas gifts and more.

Loved my walk today to the market. A feast for my senses after yesterday. Picked up maple syrup spread and syrup, mackerel to grill tonight, a sack of apples, yogurts, cider donuts, lavender sachets.

Nothing like waking up to a farmers and flowers market across the street from your hotel. Even tourists can find goodies to take home. My cats will love their wheatgrass catnip.

It is well worth a visit in the AM. All the vendors are fully stocked, and the selections are the best. You can find lots later in the day, but many of the vendors are either gone, or have sold out.

Don't miss the Ruiz Finnish Rye Bread (free samples served with cheese and cucumber). It will replace your usual bread. Stand is usually on corner of 17th and Park Ave S.

Our favorite place to shop for locally grown foods – just be warned, you have to be tolerant of crowds. You must go to the Red Jacked Orchards and Rick’s Picks stands!

Make sure to get the rewards card - you don't have to use EBT to get it. I'm not on EBT but I still get the rewards card - managers center. Also wear comfortable shoes

Excellent market with a wide variety of products to pick from. It was a wonderful experience. The sellers are incredibly polite and they have instilled in me a sense of freshness and high quality!

The flagship Greenmarket in NYC. There are all the produces, dairy, meet, flower, and baked good vendors you could ever want. Get there early on Saturday to avoid the huge crowds.

Fresh, free range organic eggs, mushrooms from the mushroom stand, maple candy and whatever produce is beckoning (the last summer tomatoes this week) always top my "must buy," list on Saturdays.

Best market in town. Fresh fruits, vegetables available. Huge collection with wide variety. Price is reasonable. Quality is excellent. Love doing shopping from Union Square Green market.

Great for people watching, artisan cheese, fresh flowers and local fruits and baked goods. Can be a bit expensive and crowded, but it's always nice to support local when possible!

Everything you got here is natural, organic & fresh that is flowers, fruits & vegetables. Local market & local people around. Also had tasty food & delicious fruit juice. Must visit, Good experience.

Best market in a town. A great variety of fruits, vegetables to buy. Price is reasonable. Good quality of vegetables and fruits. Recommended to friends and family.

The biggest greenmarket in the city as far as I know. You can sometimes find unique fruits or certain plants just a little bit ahead of when everyone else starts selling it.

This lively outdoor market is the place to buy homemade treats, local produce, organic meats and dairy from vendors selling direct from the farm. Visit during the week to avoid the crowds.

Body and Soul vegan bakers are amazinggg!!! They have a Sweet Potato Muffin (or butternut squash depending on the season) with no added oil and its on a level of its own. They do half off after 5!

I buy for Babu Ji here all the time, but even on the days I don’t need to, I still find myself here. All the gorgeous microgreens and edible flowers I use come from the Two Guys From Woodbridge.

Body & Soul Bakery: the MUSTARD TOFU TURNOVER was delicious and original. Several other veggie turnovers I'd like to try too. They're at Union Square on Mondays and I forget the other days.

The number of times I've found amazing food at the green market is staggering. I would highly recommend the cheese vendor who comes on Saturdays.

One of the best reasons to avoid Union Square. When it was occasionally there it was good. Now it's a ripoff and clogs a perfectly nice park. My tip? Ask Bloomberg to revoke their permit.
