The chick fried chicken was good, the potatoes were delicious, their pickle slices are incredible and i wouldnt pass up the buttermilk biscuits. Odd little Texas spot.
It’s a Weds so Liver and Onions and Bacon with potatoes and gravy and a cocktail for me and a bud light for him while we are treated like beloved family guests listening to countrymusic!
You won't find it on the menu but if you ask they will give you a small dish of vanilla ice cream with Dr Pepper syrup on it. It's the perfect finish to a big meal.
For dessert, get "The Doctor in Dixie": Dr Pepper syrup in a cup of Blue Bell ice cream. Good small dessert after the huge dinner portions. And only a buck and a half.
over 79,000 people can't be wrong. do yourself a favor and dispense with the pleasantries - go for the gold and get the chicken fried steak. you're welcome.
Limited parking along the outside (along the street). At lunch this place really fills up. Park next door or across the street by Starbucks. A few parking spots in the back, but very tight access.
