The ahi tartare is perfection. By far the best I've had in Honolulu. But everything here is great, from the bread to the apps, to the entrees.
Yas. You can't go wrong with any dog here. The beef fat fries? Don't miss. So delicious.
The walk out is beautiful with a nice cool breeze. Keep going after the falls and see the large banyan tree.
Rangers here are hilarious and friendly. Beware of critters (like wasps), but pop in and say hello.
How often do you get to see a black sand beach? Go here if you're in the area. It's magical but can get crowded. The caves are decent but not worth the effort.
With the black sand beach, you'll definitely want to come here. But the cave will disappoint unless you're up for going deep in (bring a flashlight!).
The trail isn't too hard to find but it can be a difficult walk there. It's a nude beach (optionally), so be ready for that. The reward for trekking is a perfect beach with lots of privacy.
Spicy means spice here but wow is the food good! As a frequenter of Thailand, I can also say it's quite authentic! All choices are good choices.
Great place for snorkeling but mostly for advanced snorkelers. Go in butt-first. Slowly. The rocks by the water are super slick. And bring flippers!

Ono Tacos is now a food truck but in the same location. Turn onto Lahainaluna (going north) and it'll be in the parking lot on your left. The quesadilla was yummy!
It's Safeway. Don't overthink it. The prices are decent, the aisles clean, and there's a bathroom. Sold!
Super-friendly, super-awesome. Unlike most "bike down the mountain" services, you go alone, without a guide. Traveling at your own pace is excellent!
Amazing sunrise location. Dress warm and be prepared for quite a crowd, but it's well worth it. If you can stand the cold, get your spot at least 45 minutes before sunrise.
Great waves but when they say dangerous shore break, they mean it. You might get tossed around a bit if you're not careful.

The waves here are incredibly intense. Walk down to the rocks and enjoy the crashing waves.
