It's about a 30 minute walk from the Beacon train station. There's a deli near the trail head to stock up on good hiking supplies like chicken parm subs.
Rent cross-country skis here in the winter and glide around the frozen lakes. In the summer bring a picnic and swim in the lake!
Park just under the 9D overpass and follow the trail behind the gate upstream for 10 minutes.
