If you're flying US Airways you will be reporting to "J" terminal. Never has a line... easy to pass through.

The cops that patrol the arrival/departure area are total D*#KS! Beware they will tow your car while you're still in it!
Brianna DanceMarço 28, 2014Customs and immigration from my Dominican Republic flight were terrible. Not only were the lines extremely long and confusing, but we had to re-check our checked baggage, which made everything longer.
This place has vastly improved because of the installation of skytrain. Very smart move MIA! Now to fix the REST of public transit!
This airport is much maligned, but I have generally not had bad experiences here. It can be crowded and chaotic at times.

Salmaan SanaJunho 6, 2013Unfortunately no working wifi is a bummer. The Duty free is long and takes a while to walk up and down.
If you are flying out on Delta you will be at the H gates. If you need to transfer to AA you will have to go through security again. :(
Auf dem Heimweg: erst Gepäck zum Airport und dann den Mietwagen abgeben. Ansonsten eine Tortour mit dem neuen Miami Mover.
Breakfast at The Counter is pretty decent, but get your coffee at Starbucks directly across instead.
This airport is ready to go at 5am. Feels like 12pm, everythings is open and ready.

They are usually strict about the 2 personal carry on items
American has crappy amenities and a terrible check in service but the staff at the security lines helped us get to our departure gate fast. Service to Canada is really prompt.

Security line for AA are terrible like 300 yards or more. Go with time!!
