One of the better Japanese places in the city. Cold soba with tempura was authentically delicious. Worth the $18 for lunch.
Of course the fish is wonderful, but check out the selection of breads and crackers and cheese too.
Tiny, cramped, adorable noodle shop with pretty authentic Japanese home cooking. Had the yakko and kimpira appetizers, and the cold kimchi soba - all delicious.
Casual and relaxed with great food. Various salads and salmon were absolutely delicious. Broccoli rabe was bad to an unacceptable degree, not sure wtf happened there. Will go again.
Amazeballs. Try to act your age and not giggle when the server talks about the Naked Balls on the menu. I had spicy pork balls swimming in spicy meat sauce atop crunchy sauteed broccoli. Dee-licious.

Strawberry rhubarb parfait is the perfect dessert: sweet, indulgent, fruity, nutty and a not-at-all-stodgy, fairytale finale to dinner. Service is weird but what did you expect from a hipster hangout?
