Andrea S: "Sigh" this one is no longer — check out the cannery instead. Or, if you're in the mood for BBQ, the Prohibition Pig occupies this spot now, and there's Alchemist beer on tap.
Andrea S: It gets super crowded, so if you want to partake of the Bobcat's delicious culinary offerings on a weekend, make a reservation in advance or be prepared to stand at the bar.
Andrea S: There's a wide selection of beers at this brewery's Vermont outpost — its city home is in Boston. Check out the BBQ festival here for one weekend every summer.
Andrea S: Otter Creek brews Wolaver's Organic Ales as well, and as of Nov. 2011 will be producing Shed beer too. Grab all three — and a meal, if you're hungry — in their tasting room.
Andrea S: CLOSED. Head here to mourn the loss of delicious brews in Stowe, or head down to Otter Creek in Middlebury, which now makes Shed beer (using the same recipes, of course!).
Andrea S: A popular hangout for college kids and locals, it's often crowded here on weekends, and you can catch live bands some evenings in the summer.
Andrea S: Go on Fridays to score some Lawson's Finest Liquids (you can also get it on tap at a couple of area restaurants). But hurry — it sells out quickly!
Andrea S: Solid and creative brews – Finnish Sahti, "Chewbocka," and "Sasquash" pumpkin ale, just to name a few. Go early and often, since the beer list changes. Oh, and the flatbread is also delicious.
Andrea S: Their signature beer is "Sunshine and Hoppiness." This brewery is also the home of the American Brewers Guild, so check it out if you're looking to take your homebrews to the next level!
Andrea S: Most common question overheard in this store: "Do you have any [Heady Topper/Lawson's]?" But for the most popular brews, get there when the delivery gets there, otherwise you may be out of luck.
