Excellent coffee. Snowy Plover for a hot day if you're feeling adventurous. Also cannot recommend the pastries highly enough--delicious!
Fun to walk around and admire the architecture. Nearby to Crissy Field and the Presidio, so make a half day of it biking along all of them.

Great, quintessential SF beach to hang out at. There are grills closer to the parking lot. If it's your first time, fair warning that the northern end tends to host nude male volleyball.
A total gem, home to a variety of museums and conservatories, buffalo, and a lovely mixture of European classical architecture with other portions more natural feeling.
Chicken wings. Can get em at the same family's cafe next door to go if you're in a rush.
Profiled in This American Life, you can't go wrong with the coffee, thick toast (heavily buttered with generous cinnamon sugar), and a coconut. It's particularly comforting when Karl the Fog is in.
